A general studio will make your programme look tidy. They will also spell the regiment wrong, crop the vehicle badly, and lay the timetable out in a way that makes no sense to somebody standing in a field trying to find out when the battle starts.
We design for living history events because we publish for them.

Come back next year and pay 40% less
When we design your programme we build a proper template and we keep it. In year two we are updating an existing document rather than starting again, so repeat year design is charged at 60% of the original fee. Your 32 page programme costs £1,150 the first year and £690 the next, and it gets better each time as we learn your event.
This is the main reason organisers stay with us. We would rather tell you before you commit than after.
What is included, and what is not
Included: initial design concept, two full rounds of amends, print ready PDF supplied to our printer, and a low resolution PDF for your website and committee.
Charged separately: amends beyond two rounds at £65 an hour, retouching or restoring supplied photographs, copywriting, and rebuilding artwork somebody else produced.
What we need from you
Text as a Word document or plain email. Do not lay it out, that is our job. Photographs at the largest size you have them. Your logo as a vector file if one exists, or the best version you can find. Sponsor logos supplied by the sponsors themselves.
And one named person on your committee who signs things off. That last one saves more time than everything else put together.
